Biography:

Steve received his Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in accounting from Michigan State University in 1981 and earned the designation of Certified Public Accountant in the State of Michigan in 1984. He has been a partner/member at Button Eddy Kolb & Sorrentino, PLLC since its inception in 1994. Steve has worked with clients in various industries including construction, wholesale, health care, not-for-profit, financial, retirement plans and retail, as well as various other service type organizations. He is also experienced in bankruptcy, turnaround and workout situations, merger and acquisition matters and litigation support matters. Steve has also worked in private sector accounting with the former Kmart Corporation. Steve has served on various committees of the MICPA on a volunteer basis during his career. In addition, he reviews the accounting and auditing practices of other CPA firms under the auspices of the AICPA peer review (oversight) system.
